1. Our Commitment
Mindmap Training & Consulting is committed to making our website usable by as many people as possible, including healthcare professionals and prospective students who use assistive technology, rely on a keyboard rather than a mouse, or access the Site on a small screen or a slower connection in remote areas of Namibia.
2. Standards We Aim For
We design and build this Site with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as a practical benchmark for colour contrast, readable typography, keyboard operability, and clear page structure. We treat this as an ongoing goal rather than a one-time checklist.
3. What We've Done
Practical steps reflected in the current build of the Site include:
- A responsive layout that adapts to desktop, tablet, and mobile screens, including a simplified, full-width navigation panel on smaller screens;
- Clear focus states and keyboard-operable menus, forms, and buttons;
- Descriptive link and button text, and alt text on meaningful images;
- A colour palette chosen for reasonable contrast between text and background; and
- Respect for the "reduced motion" setting on devices where a visitor has asked their system to limit animation.
4. Known Limitations
Some areas of the Site are still being improved — for example, embedded third-party elements (such as the Google-powered language switcher and reCAPTCHA widget) follow accessibility practices set by their providers rather than by us, and downloadable application forms (PDF/Word) may not yet be fully screen-reader optimised. If you encounter a barrier, please let us know using the details below and we will do our best to help directly while we work on a permanent fix.
5. Feedback & Assistance
If you experience any difficulty accessing information, applying for a course, or completing a form on this Site, please contact us and we will assist you promptly, including by phone, email, or in person at our Windhoek offices:
- Email: info@mindmaptc.com
- Phone: +264 811 486 810
- Post: PO Box 41121, Ausspannplatz, Windhoek, Namibia
6. Alternative Formats
If you need course information, an application form, or any published policy on this Site in an alternative format — for example, large print or a plain-text version for a screen reader — contact us and we will arrange it.
7. Ongoing Improvements
Accessibility is not a one-off project for us. As we update the Site — including adding new course pages and features — we review those changes against the same standards described above, and we welcome feedback that helps us keep improving.
